OK MCI ppl here is list of modifications and changes I did to my MCI 500 i/o module........

1. Replaced all capacitors in audio flow with panasonic FC and FM type and boosted values !!

2. Replaced all Block caps in EQ section with NEW WIMA !!

3. Changed IC socket for ones with gold plated pins

4. Removed VCA from module and all supporting parts

5. Replaced all old Molex connectors ( pins) on Non auto PCB and MIC pre daughter boards with GOLD pin ones

6. Replaced all shadow push switches with new TONELUCK ones!

7. Removed QUAD panning from module and modified NON auto PCB for LR control only

8. Replaced mic preamp board with NEW one for DOA opamps ( optional)

9. Replaced feedback resistors in fader buffers with multi turn trim potentiometers (bourns) for adjusting buffer stages on all faders

10. Replaced 2002 opamps on NON AUTO PCBS with Burr Brown OPA 445BM

11. Optional you can replace 2003P ( on line input with ) opa 314PA or OPA 604 or OPA 627 /// up to your taste !

12. Bypassing and removing 2002 that revers phase on input of EQ section ( optional you can add switch or relay and flip phase in input of mic preamp)

13. Replace 2002 in Hi Pass circuit with OPA445BM

14. Replacing only post driver IC on Non auto Mod Card ( already replaced 2002 with OPA 4455BM) now with Class A amp specially designed for MCI 500

15. replacing 2002 in EQ circuit with  OPA 445BM or even discrete transistor amp !

16. Remove all molex connectors under frame and solder wires from PB directly to PCB !!!
