It is looking a little barren around here, guess we will have to start over!
I have now removed all molexs from under the motherboard and hardwired all 850 connections, as well as removing all boards and wiring associated with the automation and adding links where needed.
It has been fun, and provided me with lots of satifaction, getting back into all this electronic fault finding and circuit tracing after many years.
All 38 channels are now fully functional apart from a few little probs with mute switches not working, or mute lamps staying on.
I have isolated this to logic chips and a few relays.
Does anyone know of a drop in replacement for the SN7472  flip flop?
I have found a few equivalents but the pinouts are not the same,
