Hey guys I have been experiencing a fishy burning smell around the console and power supply  but can't identify where it's coming from has anyone had this before? It's definitely causing me a lot of worries, any help would be HUGELY appreciated. Thank you.

Leaking/burnt cap probably. Check your rail voltages. +/- 18v but really it could be any part in there. The fishy smell makes me think its the cap oil burning.

My 2 dollars.

My 2 dollars.

The most likely problem.

These would work

Are the originals screw terminal types like these ones ?   400 & 500 series desks are, but I've not been in a 600 series PSU.

EPCOS 10000UF 40V 20% SCREW terminal is what i replaced ALL the 8700uf caps with. there are 8 in the PSU and 4 in the desk. I'd replace them all as you have a couple leaky ones you might well have completely dead ones too, i did. Clean up that audio rail voltage!

They were shorter than the originals but the same diameter so they fit fine.

More airflow!! Wink
