Is there anyone here who remembers how to do the mod to the 400 series that involves something really simple like cutting a resistor leg and then running a wire from one spot to another?  If sort of took the in-line switching capabilities away, but it was supposed to improve the sound.

The thread is obviously gone now, but it is something I'm still interested in trying.
